Green Earth Coffee encourages its farmers to use the latest sustainable coffee farming and agro-forestry methodologies that, together with proper processing and handling methods, bring you one of the world's finest cups of coffee while simultaneously protecting the environment.

Shade Grown

Most experts agree that shade-grown coffee produces a richer, more flavorful coffee. The coffee tree is protected from the intense tropical sun, giving the fruit more time to mature and sustaining the plant under less moisture stress.

Bird-Friendly

Rufous Humming BirdEco-friendly shaded coffee provides a refuge for dozens of neotropical migratory birds. Multiple canopy layers and diverse native shade tree species is a known factor in increasing bird species diversity. In fact, rustic shaded coffee plantations are second only to primary tropical forests for bird species diversity. Birds can build their habitat in the trees, bringing life and beauty to coffee garden farms.

Sustainable

Using sustainable and organic coffee production methods permits our growers to reduce (and in many cases eliminate) poisonous pesticides and chemicals which sterilize the soil. Ecologically friendly methodologies create healthier soils, thus better coffee.
